MAERI HEDSTROM, 27, is a multi-faceted filmmaker who strives to capture ethereal beauty on film. A Minnesota native with a passion for animal and nature documentaries, she graduated from The Minneapolis College of Art and Design with a BFA in filmmaking. Her films have appeared at the Women with Vision festival at the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis. She is a 2007 recipient of a Jerome Foundation grant for her film Interludes.

In 2008 she directed three music videos released on the CD/DVD Revolutionary, Cameron Carpenter’s Grammy®-nominated debut album on the Telarc® label. She was Production Designer on director Jake Yuzna’s feature film Open, one of three American films selected for this year’s Berlinale.
